EM-01 Constant Monitor

EM-01Compact tool that fits under your bench and constantly connects the operator to earth (via the 10 mm stud or the 4 mm banana socket) when the wrist-strap and cable is connected to the unit.
It checks if the wrist-strap is correctly working and simoultaneously confirms the earth is present. This ensures that you are working according to IEC 61340-5 standard.

Instructions for use

To test, make finger contact with the stainless steel washer and push the button “PRESS TO TEST”: a green light will illuminate for “PASS”, or a red light will illuminate for “FAIL”. An audible buzzer will sound if the “FAIL” red light illuminates.
If the resistance through the wrist-strap and the operator exceeds 35 MegOhms, the “HIGH FAIL” LED will light. If the resistance is below 750 KiloOhms, the “LOW FAIL” LED will light.
If the 9 V PP3 battery falls below 6.5 V during the test, the yellow “BATTERY LOW” LED will light.
