Desco 19343 Mini Monitor

Mini Monitor – Continuos monitor for a single ESD safe workstation, equipped with visual alarm, audible alarm and stand-by mode.
It establishes and continuously monitors the path-to-ground integrity of ESD safe wristband and mat (or the wristband alone, by deactivating the mat monitoring circuit).
The high visibility of its illuminated housing ensures that any malfunctions are immediately noticed by the operator and supervisor: a green light indicates proper grounding, a red light accompanied by an audible alarm indicates an intermittent or failed connection, a blue light indicates the stand-by mode.

Specifications

• Grounds and monitors the benchtop mat without additional cables, thanks to its convenient screw fixing system
• A switch allows to deactivate the mat monitoring, in case your workstation does’nt have one
• Park Delay switch and ParkSnap™ connection – System that allows you to put the Mini Monitor into stand-by mode when you leave the workstation, without triggering the alarm: after touching the Park Delay switch (B), the operator has 8 seconds to detach the connection cable fron his wrist strap and connect it directly to the Mini Monitor via the ParkSnap™ connection (E), “parking” it temporarily
• Alarm reaction speed: < 50 milliseconds
• Audible alarm adjustment: sets the audible alarm volume from loud to louder
• Wave Distorsion Technology: provides stable continuous monitoring (versus pulsed or intermittent) of the wristband’s path-to-ground and the presence of its 1 megohm safety resistor
• 1.2 V Operator test voltage: reduces the risk of electrical overstress (EOS) for the handling of sensitive components
• Compliant with ANSI/ESD S20.20 and ESD TR1.0-01-0 regulations
• NIST calibration – National Institute of Standards and Technology (USA) – The certificate is downloadable directly from the Desco Europe website by entering your device’s model and serial no. – Certificate consists of: model, serial no., calibration date, technician’s signature. It does not include any other data. It is not a MIL/ANSI calibration and it does not refer to any other standards.

• A) Connect here the power adapter supplied
• B) Park Delay switch – It starts an 8-second timer: during this time you can disconnect the wristband cable without activated the alarm
• C) Operator Led (Green= PASS, Red = FAIL, Blue = STAND BY)
• D) Mat LED (Green= PASS, Red = FAIL, Blue = STAND BY)
• E) ParkSnap™ connection (Male, 10 mm) – “Park” here your wristband cord to put the system into stand-by mode
• F) Operator connection (Banana) – Connect here your wristband, directly or via the Banana to Snap adapter supplied
• G) Turn On/Off audio settings and mat monitoring
• H) Threaded ground terminal: connects the worksurface mat to the electrical ground
• I) Threaded worksurface monitor terminal: verifies that the worksurface’s path-to-ground is less than 10 megaOhms.
