Bungard Sur Tin for chemical tinning
The easiest, quickest and cheapest way to protect your PCB is to dip it into a Bungard Sur Tin solution.
A thin layer of copper will be exchanged with tin. Adhesion and IMC will take place directly on the copper.
Components can be fixed by soldernig or press-fit-connection.
Standard supply: Sur Tin Part 1 – Sur Tin Part 2 – Sur Tin Part 3.
From one kit you will obtain 2.5 litres of product, with which is possible to cover a maximum surface of 2 sqm.
Surface properties
- Thickness: 0,8-1,2 µm
- Suitable for lead free soldering
- Not suitable for multiple soldering
- Shelf life of prepared solution: Several weeks by absence of air
- Storage time: 12 months – Solderability: 6 months
- Can be retinned any time
- Perfect planarity for SMT application
- Suitable for fine line technology
- Suitable for compliant pin (press-fit) connection
- Inexpensive application.
Recommended equipment (NOT included)
- Airtight container (it can be used also for preparing the solution)
- Bungard tinning tank with tilting top.
